So what made me bring up the whole thing about how height differences in romantic relationships? An article by the fucking celebrity gossip website, "CELEBUZZ."
First of all, the article's headline is "Top 14 Celeb Couples with a Crazy Height Difference!"
And here's how the article starts...
"Every girl wants a man in her life that she can look up to (literally), and the ladies in the celebrity world are no different."

Okay, sure. Yes. Every girl wants a man she can look up to. What makes the the headline and quote so bad, though?
What the fuck does "crazy"
mean?! "Crazy" is a judgmental word. Gossip news seems to like using
words like it. Why should a height difference of 10 inches be deemed
as "crazy?"
To say that every woman wants a tall man is to instill the idea that a
man needs to be tall in order for a woman to be able to look up to him,
emotionally.
It instills the idea that only a tall man can protect, comfort, and make her feel secure. It tries to make women believe that it's impossible to look up to a shorter man. And if a man is of equal height, how is she supposed to wear heels?
What makes the quote even more fucked up?
It instills the same idea into mens' heads and tries to make them believe that it's impossible to get taller women to look up to them.
BUT WAIT!!! THERE'S MORE!!!!! It gets even more fucked up than that!!!!!
The worst part is.....
It fucks around with the definition of perfection! "A couple has to be a certain way, in order to be perfect. The perfect couple has to be a man that's taller than the woman." Why?! Why the hell does it have to be that way?! Fuck that!!!

IT'S CONTROLLING RELATIONSHIPS!!!!! It's forcing people to take height into consideration when finding a mate. How the hell does height determine a happy relationship?

If the media said something like, "Every girl wants a man shorter than her, because a tall man will only look down on her," then women would date shorter men, or men of equal height. It's all semantics.
